Benjamin Russell High School

Benjamin Russell High School is a new educational facility for Alexander City Schools, located in Alexander City, Alabama. The school is designed to serve Grades 9 through 12. The extensive facility features a Kitchen/Cafeteria, a 650-seat Auditorium, Band and Choral spaces, Health Sciences areas, a Media Center, a 1,200-seat Competition Gymnasium, a Two-Story Classroom Wing, Administrative Offices, a Storm Shelter, and New Site and Athletic Amenities. Our design pays homage to the local identity, incorporating a "Lake Martin" aesthetic that blends seamlessly into the community while providing 262,000 square feet of modern learning space. With features like a centrally located courtyard and advanced science labs, state-of-the-art culinary kitchens to the acoustically engineered band room—which doubles as a fortified tornado shelter—every detail was designed with the safety and success of these students in mind. This project was more than just a build; it was about creating a vibrant hub for arts, academics, and athletics that will serve the central Alabama region for generations to come. This campus is now a premier educational facility in the state.

Orange Beach Middle School

Orange Beach Middle School is a 131,800-square-foot academic campus designed to serve a growing coastal community. The facility includes 31 education classrooms, two science labs with adjoining science classrooms, and a 4,400-square-foot media center supporting collaborative and independent learning. The program features a full-size auditorium; dedicated band and choral facilities with support spaces; a cafeteria with seating for 384 students indoors and 288 students outdoors; and a large gymnasium with four locker rooms, coaches’ offices, and laundry facilities. The campus was planned with a secure design approach, emphasizing controlled access, efficient circulation, and durable materials suited for a coastal environment while promoting flexible, student-centered instructional spaces.

Hoover High School Performing Arts Center

Completed in May 2024, the 32,029-square-foot Hoover High Performing Arts Center delivers a premier performance venue designed to support both student achievement and community engagement. The 945-seat auditorium features tiered seating with exceptional sightlines, integrated acoustic ceiling clouds, and a fully equipped stage with advanced theatrical lighting and rigging systems to accommodate a wide range of productions. The expansive lobby creates a strong first impression with floor-to-ceiling glazing, warm wood-look flooring, and sculptural curved soffits with integrated linear LED lighting. Thoughtfully designed circulation, accessible features, and comfortable gathering areas enhance functionality while reinforcing a contemporary, welcoming identity.

Thompson High School

Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, part of the Alabaster City Schools, features a total of 431,000 square feet. The facility includes 105 classrooms, a large secure interior courtyard, and a 5,500 square-foot Innovation Center. Specialized educational spaces consist of 6 science lab classrooms and 20 labs dedicated to career technology, business, and computer studies. The school also provides a cafeteria with seating capacity for 654 students.

Oak Mountain High School Performing Arts Center

The Fine Arts (Band and Choral) Addition to Oak Mountain High School, includes a New Band Room of 5,000 square feet with 18-foot ceilings, a viewing platform, and the capability to be divided into two separate rehearsal spaces, as well as a New Choir Room measuring 2,540 square feet, also with 18-foot ceilings. The addition also provides a New Band Room, a New Choir Room, an Ensemble Practice Room, New Staff/Student Restrooms, Trophy Display, Offices, Music, and Instrument Storage.

Guntersville High School

The new Guntersville High School is a 134,748-square-foot comprehensive academic facility designed to support 21st-century learning. The campus includes modern classrooms, collaborative learning environments, STEM labs, career technical spaces, administrative offices, and student commons areas. The design prioritizes safety, functionality, and long-term adaptability while creating an engaging and inspiring environment for students and faculty. Constructed adjacent to an active campus, the project required careful coordination to maintain uninterrupted school operations. Enhanced security measures include a double-entry airlock, secured classroom doors, approximately 147 monitored cameras, and School Resource Officer support.
